Catch of the Day

The purpose of this painting is to invoke the feeling of the great outdoors that Wisconsin is so known for. My own dad and I had many fishing trips on Wisconsin's lakes when I was little which is why I chose that theme. Within the painting, I've included a few Wisconsin easter eggs. These are the state bird, a robin, the state animal, a badger, and a little mouse (symbolic of Wisconsin's cheese). The color of the boy's boots represent the state flower, a violet. I hope you enjoy looking at this illustration and the expressions it holds just as much as I enjoyed creating it!
